|
|
Hello everyone! I wanted to let everyone know I've recently ordered Sensual Synth to do an install with just it. My earlier was a mix of it and shapeshifter. I am going to be giving reviews of the synth as I wear it. Hopefully my install will be on Sunday.
The reason I am only going with Sensual synth is because after messing with the wefted hair I realized it tangled quite a bit less than the doctored locks. It is quite soft and I will be sure to post some photos and any details as time goes on.
I noticed that my mix of SensualSynth and Shapeshifter that Shapeshifter tends to tangle a bit more. It has a nice healthy shine. I may be "rewefting" it due to my OCD about wefts but the wefts on the Sensual Synth are very nice and thin. Since ShapeShifter only comes loose I won't have to razor the ends of the SensualSynth. I have to razor ShapeShifter quite a lot.
For once I am setting up the hair so I have one set installed and a 2nd set ready for install. For those that install this hair please chime in on things they find that work well with the hair and thoughts. So far the feel is amazing. |

Never worn synth myself except in wigs and hairpieces ... But I'm looking forward to your pictures and accounting of your experience with SS.
It is such a luxury to have two complete installs at the ready. I love being able to take down an install and put in a fresh one without waiting to clean and prepare the wefts! _________________ Do-It-Yourself semi-permanent eyelash extension kits that can give you a professional result with your very first application!

| Well I will also be installing Sensual Synth this weekend, with the Celestial. It's really nice hair to look at and touch. |

Well, Kristie did a tutorial on it, basically it's clips, but you make tiny ponytails with microrings where the clips go, so better hold.
I spent all day yesterday sewing wefts together and atttaching clips and just put the hair, and it will not be working for me, it gets too bulky at the crown and my hair is not too dense a the top of my head so it shows.
Also the idea is that it's easy to part your hair when using the microrings as guides. However I also think I will get tired of installing it everyday, I think if you just need a row or two of tripple wefts for volume this might be really good, but right now I need lenght and I have quite a lot of fine hair and I just put in 6 rows + a 4 inch piece, and I think I could do with a seventh row for better blending, so I I'm thinking it will be too much of a hassle for me. So I think I will have to wait with my install until I fix my hair and the install with LG or Supertape. |

Oh yeah! I don't think this is a good method for more than a few rows of tracks, max. Seven is a LOT of rows to install by any method! When my hair was very short, the maximum number of rows I had was four! And with that kind of install I wouldn't even want to think of taking those wefts out every day! _________________ Do-It-Yourself semi-permanent eyelash extension kits that can give you a professional result with your very first application!

Yeah I know it's a lot of rows, but I can't get it to blend properly otherwise, I do need a lot of hair to blend. Also I think with a few rows it's easy to find the tracks, I think with 6-7 rows it wil be a mess.
To bad I didn't realise this earlier, I should have purchased LG/tape instead of microrings and pliers...live and learn. |

Yep that would be a lot of rings on the head and a real struggle each day to get the clips in the correct rings.
If I'd realized you were needing so many tracks, I would have recommended tape/glue from the start. Sorry about that! I'm amending the tutorial to include this information right now! _________________ Do-It-Yourself semi-permanent eyelash extension kits that can give you a professional result with your very first application!

Good idea Kristie, it'll help those of us who forget to use our heads I should have thought of that. It's just I thought I didn't want tape, and for a while, until I learned of the Celestial, was thinking of doing tembond individuals, but honestly I think I would have trouble getting enough hair on.
I've just ordered LG and supertape, I think I will try LG only.
What do you prefer LG or tape and why?
I'm thinking, but it's just an idea, that LG would make for narrower bonds, single sandwich. |

I think LG can make thinner, less sticky bonds... but it is way
messier and stickier to work with when installing.
Tape alone just didn't last that long for me.
My preferred method involved tape on the underweft and LG for the covering weft. This allowed a relatively easy install that lasted at least seven weeks. _________________ Do-It-Yourself semi-permanent eyelash extension kits that can give you a professional result with your very first application!

Both have their drawbacks so testing both is the way to go. Don't forget you can mix and match install methods.
LG-hate cleaning wefts.
Tape-trying again with supertape, originally protac was sticky and 'flipperish' due to excessive hair I wear but gonna give the new stuff a try.
You'll find what you like and what you don't but install tape or glue is so cheap it's best to buy both and test it out. |

| LG and tape are both really flat is kinda my thing. I can't stand bulky installs. Both are acceptable install methods. My thought is try tape first. it's easy to remove and get off the weft and if you don't like the install remove it and apply with LG. |

Val, any install updates on the SS? I received my samples and love the hair. However, since I am used to human hair, I noticed more tangling with SS than HH BUT less tangling than another well known synthetic brand.
Keep in touch!

| I've gone obsessive compulsive on you. I'm about to sew the wefts together. I have my own way I want my 3 colors mixed and sewn. Why can't I be simple LOL. I didn't add violet to the bleach and need to do a touch up to pull out more yellow before I install this time. It's taking a bit longer than expected. |
